SoFabU on the Road in Chicago is less than two weeks away and your planning has kicked into full swing. Time to think about what to wear and these looks are designed with comfort in mind and to take you from morning to lunch to adventure to an evening out. If you know anything about me, it’s that comfort is key and you can make anything look stylish with the right amount of accessorizing and coordination.
The first look is Day to Night casual and brings together a few basic pieces: comfortable sandals with style, a cardigan for cooler temperatures or hotel air conditioning, a fun maxi dress (floral and colorful is my thing) and a bag that can carry all of your essentials – laptop or iPad, wallet, camera, notepad and anything else you might need. This particular look pairs a hot trend of metallics with grey as the new neutral and the floral dress gives the perfect amount of sassitude.
For the second ensemble, I prefer a POP of color! A neutral maxi skirt paired with a bold colored top – you can coordinate with just about any jewelry you would like. A comfortable satchel or backpack works perfectly for the day’s events, especially the adventure. Add flats to keep things comfortable and don’t forget a beautiful floppy hat to keep the sun away on our tour around the city! The hat will double as an accessory on any of our beaches, so keep that nearby. This outfit can easily be dressed up for evening wear.
My overall theme of Chicago is be comfortable, be yourself and come with layers! You never know if we will have a cooler day by the lake or if the air will be on full blast. You do you and the rest will fall into place. What does your outfit line-up look for Chicago? Colorful, comfortable, or playfully neutral?
