Becca knows how to rock Pinterest and will be sharing valuable tips with SoFabU On The Road Chicago attendees. We asked her a few questions to get to know her a little better.
What interested you in teaching at SoFabU On The Road?
Sharing information with bloggers who are looking to grow their blogs and brands is important to me. SoFabU gave me the platform to share what I’ve learned with other bloggers, and I LOVE that SoFabU is free and easy to use for Social Fabric members.
They say inspiration can be found almost anywhere. What is the strangest thing that has inspired you?
My best inspiration came because I was ignored. When my first blog started, someone was kind enough to set it up for me and then disappeared. I didn’t know how to work it at all. I emailed him, offered to hire him to teach me, and pretty much pleaded for help. Nothing. I eventually learned through trial and error, but I decided at that moment that I would always help other bloggers. To this day, I do what I can to help and give back, and if I have to turn someone away, I make sure to give them links and resources to assist them. I have no “secrets” and will always share what I do with other bloggers who want to become as successful as I am today.
What animal best represents you and why?
Whoa. That’s a tough one. I think the animal that best represents me is a dog. They’re playful, kind of funny, loyal, and always hungry
What is one thing you wish you could go back and tell yourself when you were a new blogger?
I wish I could tell myself to choose a name that would grow with me (to prevent the rebranding I had to do), and to use my real name for social media accounts from the beginning. It kills me that my Pinterest username is BLudlum!
And the most important question of all: cake or pie?
Wait – you shouldn’t have both?!? I guess if I had to choose one, it would be cake. Lots of cake.
