At SoFabU On the Road in Brooklyn, Nathan will teach attendees how to create more video content in his session, “Stepping Up Your Video Game With Stop Motion.” We thought it would be fun to ask a few questions and get to know him a little better.
What do you love about teaching at SoFabU On The Road?
I love teaching bloggers to get better. I’m always learning and improving so I love to share what I know and what I’ve learned. Bloggers learn from each other and I love being a part of that. For me specifically, I’ll be teaching a class all about video and stop motion. If you’ve ever wanted to learn and improve your videos, if you have ever wondered how to make them better or how to make them at all, this is the class for you!
What is the number one takeaway you want students to learn from your session?
Video is the future. As publishers we have to adapt and I want to empower bloggers/students to become video creators and not be intimidated by a camera.
If you could live in a book, TV show or movie, what would it be?
Ummmm, Star Trek! I’d be out of a job though, unless you aren’t a fan of food replicators. Beam me up.
What is your favorite social channel to personally spend time on and why?
I still think it’s Facebook. I’m old, in my 30s (gasp), and most of my friends are there. I love YouTube as well.
What is one thing you wish you could go back and tell yourself when you were a new blogger?
Great question, I would tell myself to be more fearless. I often take the safe path. So learning to go outside my comfort zone, learning to push myself to be better, learning more, and trying new things would have helped me grow faster and become a better blogger (and person).
